Inuit sunglasses for the win! The Inuit have been using these for thousands of years to prevent snow-blindness.
Another lesson in Cheng language:
meh - me
tan - with
gran - have affection for, love
haach - him (superior)
haan - him (subordinate)
So the actual translation was that she loves him.
Tal Yana is now the second in command so she should refer to every male as "haan" but refers to Hochi as "haach". She certainly does idolize the Dalai.

They are a pain in the neck to that poor guy.
Wow that's my early morning corny joke.
Don't have one.

On page 360 I really really think that opening salvo -- those incoming arrows etc. -- is very, very well-drawn. And I don't think that's because your art-software is so great; I think that's because you're a great artist. -- Couldn't keep my opinion to myself.

Thank you very much!
The Cheng don't use bows and arrows, they use atlatl's with darts. Atlatls predated bows and arrows by thousands of years. They weren't as accurate but had more knockdown power against large game like herds of mammoths, or in this case, armored troops. I made a detail page about their weapons here.

Thanks! I knew about atlatls; I didn't recognize they were what the Cheng were using. I'll look at your detail page, now that you've told me where to find it! --- This comic is very well done!

Which archers are they who seem to be carrying doubly-recurved longbows?
