I think either cyborg or, as the Borg are called on Star Trek, cybernetic life form. There's no real scientific name for them until science actually makes one.

Essential didn't touch any non vital systems and kept the damage to a minimum so she probably is still able to have children. I'm pretty sure it would be just a normal human if she did have a child. None of the hardware or software would transfer to the unborn child without the procedure that she performed on Crystyn.

I wonder what Essential would think of that experience. She's already enthralled with Crystyn's residual self appearance. Wonder if she's as hot for Liam as the natives are.
