Looks like Hochi is about to give Sir Liam the Virile some competition in collecting notches on his belt.

I'm not quite getting Carri's attitude. Does she really want to give Hochi some "alone time"? Or is she in a hurry to interrupt someone elses "alone time" with the Queen?

Myself, I think Carri's attitude is pretty obvious. Clearly, Carri does not like the Mag Cheng. She said it herself by calling them barbarians and cannibals. I think she finds them disgusting, if not loathsome company.
On the other hand: Perhaps Carri has respect for the Dalai and she finds seeing one get intimate with a disgusting Mag Cheng turns her stomach?
Though, I am a bit surprised that Carri does not at least begrudgingly respect this particular Mag Cheng, considering that she held her own against her in mortal combat. After all, Carri is, first and foremost, a warrior. But, perhaps, her dislike of Mag Cheng blinds her to recognizing and respecting such martial prowess?

Yes, the Mala hate the Cheng because they believe that they eat people. It's possible that this may not be true and the Cheng take Minkie children to perpetuate the myth to instill some fear in their enemies.
Carri is still an enigma. I think we need to keep peeling the layers to get to the real Carri. So far, she appears to have some problems forming normal relationships/friendships. She's probably seen some abusive relationship(s). She claims she is only attracted to women yet she is obviously attracted to Liam. Page 230 in the 3rd panel is a good hint of what's going on.
As far as how she treats Hochi, I think it makes her feel a little better about herself when she brings a small amount of grief to others.
Carri must have some respect for Tal Yana or she wouldn't even be sitting at the same table with her.

Look like someone's made a friend. Or maybe she wants to ease her conscience. Over and over ;D

Question: I am curious about the natural abilities of the three races: Mag Leung, Mag Mala, and the Mag Cheng. That is, do the canines have superior smell, while the felines have superior hearing? Or something like that? Is one slightly stronger or faster or has better night vision? Are the Mag Leung color blind like the dogs of Earth? (Aside from shades of grey, they see mostly yellows, blues, and violets.)
Though, perhaps questions like these has been answered before? Perhaps on the forum? I do remember the previous page where you mentioned that smell is very significant to the Mag Leung as they find all the other races to smell disgusting.

In a nutshell, the canines have a keen sense of smell while the felines have an extra sense of empathy by touch.
As a result, the Leung are better hunters and the Dalai are better at social interaction. The human hybrids- Kurra/Cheng and Mala/Minkie are the most intelligent species and have the most diverse skill sets. The Mag Mala have even discovered steam and geothermal power and are on the verge of becoming an industrial society.
The Mag Leung's ruling class realize that if they don't destroy the Mag Mala now, that they will soon be overtaken by their advanced society.
I'm just now getting into the Mag Cheng's night vision. "...they only hunt above at night." Their pink eyes at first appear to be formed from a lack of melanin from generations of underground living, but are in fact something else - They can see in the near infrared. They differ from their non-feral counterparts, the Kurra, in that they have a tapetum lucidum layer in their eyes that give them excellent night vision.
The purebred canines and felines also have tapetum lucidum eyes while the Kurra and Mala do not.
Whenever I create a new character I set the iris ambient light according to race so the night vision races will have "eye shine".

Personally I would hold out for Carrencia over the Cheng "butterface" girls.

"Not a sole came..." Should be soul. Sole is a fish, or bottom of your foot.

Well it's true. Those damn sole fish are so shellfish they never help anyone.
Thanks. Corrected.
