Yokai was smart to be up front about it. When the child is born it will be quite obvious that it is not Yaochi's. Though, Yokai's actions may have other consequences she did not foresee (aside from Yumiko not being in love with her). Yaochi might turn down Yokai and/or marry Yumiko.
Anyway, the way things are, I doubt that King Stello will approve of an alliance with the Dalai as it would likely lead to war with the Mag Leung. After all, war was what he feared most. He had the Mag Leung King killed to prevent that. Though, to be fair, that may very well trigger a war or bite him in the arse in the end.
Just saying it would be much more likely that an alliance would happen if someone other than King Stello was on the Mala throne.

Stollo wants to avoid war because he would lose some of his valuable trade routes. What he doesn't know is that Tyranos wants the "Traveler", which is smack in the center of Mala territory.

Considering the kinda shit their "noble" king has pulled, is pulling, and listens to for advice. Our Minkies would likely be better off should he suddenly come up with a bad case of the deads. Tho his kid is to young to take over, advisers are .... reprehensible. Decent people are out in the weeds. If he did it'd be civil war after the reprehensibles killed his kid. But one can dream.
