Edit Thurs 8/20: Running late on today's page.
I was meaning to add some narration but I finished late because that damn motion blur frame took 3 hours to render. Now you know why I don't use motion blur very often. I'll probably add the narratives later.

For action blur I just slop some baby oil on page, works fast but makes a mess on my scanner.

That would explain why Loss is always blurry looking. I thought it was because he was hitting the sauce but I guess it's baby oil... and I don't even want to know why he was playing with baby oil.

Question: Are Tal Yana's markings some type of tattoo? Or are they natural stripes, like Carrencia's?
To me, the markings look like they must be tattoos because they're too ordered and symmetrical (unlike Carrencia's). If they are tattoos, though, that's impressive work.
As for Unity: Is she trying to make them underestimate her? Clearly, at least two of them are within easy reach of her swords. I'm surprised she kicked them instead of cutting arteries.
Her opponents are wielding spears and they have a very long reach if held properly. Swords have finesse, but not nearly as much reach.

Yes, those are tattoos on Tal Yana.
By kicking the first one back into the one behind him she just bought a little time to deal with one at a time and that also leaves her left hand free to block the spear thrust in the last frame.
Don't worry. That right hand is coming down pretty fast. Blood will spill soon enough.

Wait... You don't do the motion blur in Photoshop?
(or whichever postproduction photo editor you use to add the text)
That's like having glass be both transparent and reflective in a room filled with mirrors! (Harder on the computer than it has to be)

Yes, almost all of the time I do motion blur in Photoshop. I thought I could do some yard work while it was rendering and save some post production time but it took longer than I expected.

Experiment, live through it, and learn. :)
BTW, how do you get an avatar here?

Very nice job with the juxtaposition of the two fights. Also I like how one is shot in orange warm light, for the orange-skinned girl, and the other is shot in cold blue light for the girl with black and blue colors. Very nicely done.

Thanks. It's hard to get the lighting just right in these underground scenes. I wish I could spend more time on it and get them better.
