A new episode of Mitri's Prize is up on the TWC vote button. Finally huh. I had to let main story catch up to where we are now.

Celebus has been an FTL trap for starships for a long time. And I'd image a lot of humans have been trapped there over the years. They speak English and we know from Mitri and others that they know of human written works such as Mark Twain. And Eloma seemed to know quite a bit about "Sky Dragons" and human things.
Q: Will we get a better picture of how much the Minki people know or don't know about the universe outside planet Celebus? Some examples: Do they know a bit of human history? Do they know about sentient species other than humans? (Have they ever seen a Khrelean or other species?) Do they know how rare sentient species are in the universe and how most seem fated to self-destruction?

I had a lot more back story and world building in the original story, probably too much, and it was a bit boring. Kind of like trying to read "The Silmarillion" after reading "Lord of the Rings", it will put you to sleep.
But it might make an interesting side piece. I might do that.
Khreleans are a self absorbed species and are generally unconcerned with primitive species so they rarely travel the younger regions of the galaxy. They spend most of their time exploring the older regions and studying the more advanced, extinct species. They consider humans to be barbaric and seldom share any of their knowledge for fear that it will be used against them.
(shameless plug warning) There will be some info on Khrelean/Human relationships in "Downtime" on Patreon explained by the half human, half khrelean flight engineer, Aressah Ako.

Here we call Botchka's bed-bugs, they bite you in the arse when your asleep, but they don't buzz, total stealth attack.

I've not run into bedbugs yet and I hope I never will, because they sound real nasty.
When I read Carri's description of Botchkas, I was thinking of something like extra-large mosquitoes. That, or perhaps a large species of biting fly, like the horse-fly.

Hochi's pet's name was Honey Botchka and Khamon Broqa said "don't stir the botchka nest" so they're like a very aggressive honey bee.
