Cig? no.
I don't think the human would-be settlers would've brought tobacco to their new planet.
Love the epic scifi adventure, art, and planet, hate the protagonist

I liked this comic when it first came out, and I keep trying to come back to it. Unfortunately, Liam is a male Bella Swan: little personality but effortlessly and universally admired, and everyone wants fuck him for no apparent reason. Except Neela and Kaydee (both dead), and his human crewmates.
This story has a fascinating concept, decent plot, excellent world building, and the art gets amazing - but the more I read the less I can stand Liam and Eloma. I want to keep reading to find out what becomes of SIGNOS and TYRANOS' plans and the world, but the story keeps getting derailed for fan service and Liam-wish-fulfillment.

I've always said that I'm not a very good writer but I like doing it. I agree, Liam isn't a solid protagonist if he was the true definition of one. This story is more like G.o.T. in that there is no centralized protagonist. Later on the story focuses on a few other more developed characters like Unity, Kirby, Carrencia, and Taisei who are more like protagonists of their own stories.
But you do get to see Liam's character develop from a naive spacer raised in an isolated environment to the leader that Minkie and Dalai expect him to be from the prophecy.
He is admired by the Minkie and Dalai because he IS their Prophecy. Just as the Mag Leung and Bargeist hate him for the same reason. Everyone on this planet knows who and what he is, except Liam and his crew. But it all slowly becomes apparent to him as he puts the pieces together.
