I'd take out those nipple rings. If one should get snagged on something up there...

[meta] From the department of whadda I know, a battened lateen sail looks improbable.

Battens in a lateen sail seem to make tacking the sail a bit problematic. Usually to tack one the crew hauls on the inhaul attached to the forward end of the spar bringing it aft of the mast, while another crew member tends the sheet and someone shifts the helm. The vessel rounds to the other tack, and when the spar's vertical, the crew allow the spar to resume its usual attitude on the opposite tack, sheeting the sail in. Those battens look like they'd get in the way.

I usually make my own ship models but I didn't make this one, only modified it a bit.
I don't think it would be too much of a problem to reef a sail like that but I also don't see the point of the battens. On a Chinese junk for instance the sails are battened because the sails are moved to the other side without folding (or reefed accordion style), but not so a a lateen sail. I think the author of that model just thought it would look cool.

The lighting looks natural and the clouds reflect nicely in the water, very well staged.

I'm partial the last panel's lighting and clouds myself, but both are a tremedous display of skill in art and lighting. Well done!

I've been trying to get back on schedule for 30 years, so far, no luck.
