We finally get to see how Sellah's mother fits in the story.

If anyone could do it she could. She's sneaky.

How is she going to pull that off, being a non-corporeal ghost and all? She effectively led her own daughter to her death (talk about cold), so she no longer has someone so easy to manipulate... or does she?

Also, since it seems clear, at this point, that she's not merely a delusion of her daughter's mind (which was the easier explanation to believe);
At what point is her thirst for revenge sated enough for her to move on? Would killing the Mala king truly be enough for her? Or would she desire more?

She's not a delusion of Sellah's mind since she stuck around after Sellah died.
If she were incorporeal it would mean that she is "not composed of matter; having no material existence". But so far we know that The Traveler can change matter or the way it is perceived.

That raises more questions, such as "Why, or for what reason, would The Traveler have this effect on Sellah's mother? It makes me think that she was, at one time, in the presence, or under the influence of The Traveler.

I'm wondering if Sellah's mother was the Mag Leungs' witch.

The witch was in the spirit world right before her death. She was naked and breathing spirit well vapor.

When Broqa threw the vial, and the king and the witch were poisoned, I think the witch escaped to the spirit world, just before her body expired. Her body looks decomposed, because the poison was dissolving her tissues, when she died.

She's no longer able to leave the spirit world, because she no longer has a suitable body to return to. She can move around this world, but no one can see her, unless they have the Touch. She might have to be touching them in order for them to see her. Lennare didn't have the Touch, so she couldn't see Sellah's mom.

The witch looked different than Sellah's mom, but they're close enough that the difference could be due to tissue damage from the poison.

This is mostly conjecture and my terrible memory, so just think of it as a wild guess, till we learn more.
