Check out this webcomic. Unknown Lands. Now that's some beautiful art and characters for ya!

I finally finished making the trebuchets and the balistae for the war galleys. You can see the balistae in the two platforms on the bow in the first frame. They have a greater range than that of the trebuchet but are used primarily on troops.

Also, added a new "Thank You" page on the TWC vote button.

Suddenly the oarsmen took their break, got drunk and the ship ran aground!

That ship is one of the most complicated and detailed 3D models I've seen. As someone who's done his own webcomic (http://deepblue.thecomicseries.com/), I can appreciate the hours of hard work that it took to construct.

Thanks. I can't take all the credit for the ship's hull itself. It was a model started by someone else but I did a lot of finish detail on it. All I have left to make is the sails.
Thanks for sharing your webcomic. I just started reading but it's pretty good so far.

You're correct, it should have 4 rowers per oar, but this was as many high poly figures as I could put in a scene without the program freezing. The next time you see it I will have made some low poly figures so I'll have the correct number of oarsmen.

This particular ship, The Durga Tahn (Dragon's Breath), is known for igniting its projectiles to shoot balls of fire. Makes for a nice light show in night battles.
